The Sustainable Development Report has been compiled in alignment with the principles of the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) G3 guidelines. For this report the company has declared a C level of reporting in accordance with GRI’s requirements for a self-declaration in this respect.

We take great pleasure in presenting our first Sustainable Development Report which looks at the effects that our business has on our investors, employees, the communities that surround our operations and other stakeholders.
Economic performance
DRDGOLD is South Africa’s fourth largest gold producer and, as such, it has an impact on many thousands of stakeholders.

DRDGOLD acknowledges that its mining activities have an impact on the environment and on the community surrounding its operations. Impacts are managed proactively in terms of management and mitigation measures.
